Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sunday Karimi, yesterday met with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, to discuss strategies aimed at strengthening unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Senator Karimi, the meeting focused on fostering party cohesion and mobilizing support toward ensuring victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in Kogi State during the next general elections.
The lawmaker noted that unity among party members remains key to sustaining the achievements of the APC-led administration under the Renewed Hope agenda.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with stakeholders and party leaders to consolidate the APCâs strength across Kogi State.
Senator Karimi stated that the APC in Kogi State remains focused and determined to maintain its dominance through grassroots mobilization, reconciliation among members, and effective engagement with the people.
He commended Governor Ododo for what he described as purposeful leadership and dedication to the development of Kogi State, noting that the governor has continued to carry party members along in governance.
The senator further stressed the need for party faithful to remain united and avoid actions capable of creating division within the APC, especially as political activities ahead of 2027 gradually gather momentum.
He added that consultations with critical stakeholders would continue in order to build a stronger and more formidable party structure across the state.
Senator Karimi also expressed optimism that with collective effort, loyalty, and commitment from members, the APC would record overwhelming victories in Kogi State during the 2027 general elections.
The meeting is seen as part of ongoing efforts by APC leaders in the state to strengthen internal harmony and position the party for future electoral success.
