The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has presented the Certificate of Return to Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim as its duly elected candidate for the Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The presentation ceremony took place on Thursday at the PDP National Headquarters in Abuja, where party officials formally handed over the certificate to the candidate.

Speaking shortly after receiving the Certificate of Return, Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim expressed appreciation to the leadership of the party and supporters across the constituency for their confidence in him, assuring them of quality representation and people-centred leadership if elected.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the Rebirth Agenda, a development blueprint designed to reposition Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency through inclusive governance, infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment, and the attraction of impactful projects to communities across the constituency.

“This Certificate of Return is not just a political document; it is a covenant with the good people of Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency. I am deeply honoured by the trust the PDP and our constituents have reposed in me. My mission is clear: to ensure that the dividends of democracy are delivered directly to the doorsteps of every community, every family, and every individual in our constituency,” he said.

The PDP candidate, who is widely regarded as a grassroots politician, noted that his aspiration is anchored on effective representation, accountability, and the pursuit of policies that will improve the living standards of the people.

According to him, the time has come for a new era of purposeful leadership that prioritises the welfare of constituents and addresses the developmental needs of the federal constituency.

“The time for mere promises is over. The people of Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency deserve a representative who understands their struggles and is ready to work tirelessly to bring about tangible change. I am that representative, and together, we will birth a new era of progress and prosperity,” he added.

The presentation of the Certificate of Return marks a significant milestone in the build-up to the 2027 general elections, with supporters expressing optimism that the Rebirth Agenda will usher in a new chapter of development and progress for Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency.

The statement was signed by the Media Team of Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim and made available to journalists in Abuja on Thursday.
