Fresh political realignments appear to be unfolding within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, with the Abuja residence of Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke increasingly emerging as a strategic meeting point for influential party leaders ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The latest development followed the recent visit of the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, to Faleke’s residence alongside the former Director-General of the Audu-Faleke Campaign Organisation, Hon. Daniel Isah.
The trio held consultations widely viewed by political observers as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation within the ruling party.
Although details of the meeting were not made public, the visit has attracted significant attention, particularly as political stakeholders begin positioning ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The meeting also comes on the heels of a series of high-profile consultations at Faleke’s residence in recent weeks, including visits by prominent traditional rulers from the Okun area of Kogi West and several APC chieftains from the senatorial district.
The growing number of political engagements has further reinforced perceptions that the residence has become a rallying point for strategic consultations within the ruling party.
