Family, friends, and well-wishers of the newly appointed Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, on Tuesday held a special prayer session to celebrate his promotion and new posting.
The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban, and witnessed the presence of top government officials, prominent Islamic clerics, and a large gathering of family and friends.
In his remarks, Alhaji Bashir Sulaiman, a close friend of the commissioner, prayed for Sanusi’s continued success and advancement in his career.
He also expressed gratitude to all attendees for honoring the occasion and celebrating the achievement.
Speaking during the ceremony, Sheikh Aminu Shaban prayed for wisdom, courage, and integrity for CP Sanusi as he assumes his new responsibilities.
He urged the community to continue supporting law enforcement agencies in their quest to maintain peace and security across the nation.
Several government officials in attendance commended CP Sanusi for his dedication, discipline, and outstanding service in previous postings.
They expressed optimism that his leadership in the FCT Police Command would further strengthen security and enhance public confidence.
Members of Sanusi’s family expressed pride in his achievement, describing the promotion as a recognition of his commitment to duty and service to the nation.
Friends and colleagues also used the occasion to pledge their continued support and prayers for his success.
The ceremony concluded with communal prayers for peace, stability, and effective policing in the FCT, as well as for the overall progress of the Nigerian Police Force.
