Ward A Youth Advocacy has appealed to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to vote for Coach Ambassador Gabriel Abinu as candidate for the Lokoja I State Constituency House of Assembly seat in the forthcoming party primary election.
The appeal was made on Monday during a meeting held at Kewon Hotel in Lokoja.
The chairman of the group, Alhaji Idris Muhammad, cited Abinu’s philanthropic services as reasons for the endorsement.
Muhammad said that before now, Abinu had sunk boreholes in many communities, empowered women and youths, and provided scholarships to students across the constituency.
According to him, Abinu is still doing a lot to improve the lives of the people, describing him as a dependable leader committed to community development.
He noted that the constituency needs a representative with compassion, experience, and a clear understanding of the needs of the people.
The chairman said Abinu’s track record in humanitarian services has distinguished him among other aspirants seeking the party’s ticket.
He assured that the advocacy group would collaborate with other support groups and stakeholders to ensure Abinu emerges victorious in the primary election.
Muhammad further called on delegates to vote for competence, sincerity, and service by supporting Abinu during the primary.
He also appealed to women and youths in Lokoja to rally round the aspirant and support his ambition for the progress of the constituency.
The group also promised to take its campaign train from door to door across the constituency to mobilise support for Abinu ahead of the primary election.
Some members of the group at the meeting expressed confidence that Abinu would provide quality representation if elected.
