A frontline aspirant for the Lokoja I State Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Comrade Ibrahim Shaibu Finidi, a journalist, has submitted his letter of intent to contest, pledging to deliver quality and people-oriented representation if elected.
Finidi submitted the letter on Saturday at the APC Secretariat in Lokoja to the partyâs executive members.
He was formally presented by his Campaign Director General, Hon. Adamu Usman Babau, as the party exco warmly received him and his campaign team.
Presenting the aspirant, Hon. Babau described Finidi as an experienced politician with the capacity to deliver effective representation.
He called on the party executives to support the aspirant in his quest to represent Lokoja I at the state assembly.
Speaking during the visit, Finidi outlined his agenda, focusing on education, healthcare, and sports development, among other priority areas.
He emphasized the need to invest in youth development and create opportunities that would empower young people across the constituency.
The aspirant also stressed the importance of improving infrastructure and strengthening community-based initiatives to address local challenges.
He assured party members that his campaign would be issue-driven and centered on the needs of the people.
In his response, the Lokoja APC Chairman, Jibril Kasim Idris, commended Finidi for following due process and submitting his letter through the appropriate channel.
He reiterated the partyâs commitment to fairness and internal democracy throughout the selection process.
Idris further urged all aspirants to maintain unity and work towards the overall success of the party, noting that collective effort remains key to victory in the general elections.
Also speaking, party stakeholders, Alhaji Zuberu Yakubu and Architect Femi Oluyori, praised the aspirantâs courage and vision.
They encouraged him to sustain grassroots engagement and continue to consult widely with party members and constituents.
The event attracted party faithful and supporters, who expressed optimism about the aspirantâs chances and pledged their support ahead of the party primaries.
