A large crowd of supporters on Thursday trooped out in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates staged a road walk ahead of the 2027 general elections, led by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and PDP House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Abdulrahman Badamasiyu.
The road walk attracted youths, women, party supporters and other stakeholders, who moved through major streets of Adavi, displaying PDP flags, posters and other campaign materials.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and Hon. Abdulrahman Badamasiyu were at the forefront of the procession, receiving cheers from enthusiastic supporters and residents who lined the streets.
The massive turnout was described by PDP supporters as a strong political signal to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections.
Supporters chanted solidarity songs and displayed party insignia, creating a lively atmosphere as the candidates interacted with residents and party faithful along the route.
The road walk formed part of the PDP’s grassroots mobilisation efforts aimed at strengthening the party’s presence and deepening engagement with voters across Adavi Local Government Area and Kogi Central.
The candidates urged supporters to remain united and committed to the party, while calling for increased grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 polls.
The exercise further highlighted the growing political activities in Kogi Central as political parties intensify preparations and engage voters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
PDP supporters expressed optimism that the large turnout recorded during the road walk would translate into songer support for the party across Adavi and other parts of Kogi Central.
