The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, Ahmed Muhammad Sanusi, has intensified efforts to strengthen security coverage across the territory, declaring a firm stance against operational blind spots.
In a proactive move, the CP ventured into remote and bushy areas within the FCT to personally inspect officers deployed for various security operations.
The exercise was aimed at assessing the level of vigilance, readiness, and effectiveness of personnel stationed in hard-to-reach locations.
Addressing officers during the inspection, CP Sanusi emphasized the importance of maintaining high alertness at all times, noting that criminal elements often exploit unmonitored areas to perpetrate illegal activities.
He urged personnel to remain disciplined, professional, and committed to their duties.
The on-the-spot inspection is seen as part of broader efforts by the command to ensure comprehensive security coverage and boost public confidence in policing across the FCT.
Residents were also encouraged to support security agencies with timely and credible information to enhance the fight against crime and ensure the safety of lives and property.
