Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency APC Stakeholders Reaffirm Senator Karimi as Sole Candidate Ahead of Primary

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency on Sunday held a strategic meeting ahead of the party’s primary election scheduled for Monday, reaffirming Distinguished Senator Sunday Karimi as the sole candidate of the party.

The meeting, which took place at the Speaker’s Lodge in Lokoja, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, ward officials and supporters from across the constituency.

In his opening remarks, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Abubakar Bashir Gegu, declared that Senator Karimi remains the sole candidate of the APC, urging all party members to remain united and committed to the progress of the party ahead of the primary election.

He called on party faithful to avoid actions capable of causing division, stressing that the unity of the APC remains paramount for continued development and political success in the state.

In his remarks, Sulaiman Baba Ali, who is also the Gabi Saiyadi of Lokoja, urged party members to give their total support to Senator Karimi, describing him as a leader who has continued to work for the unity and growth of the APC in Kogi West.

Several speakers at the meeting also commended Senator Karimi for what they described as quality representation, accessibility to the people and his continued support for party members across the senatorial district.

The stakeholders praised the leadership of the party in the state for ensuring peace and stability within the APC, while expressing confidence in Senator Karimi’s chances at the primary election.

Responding, Senator Sunday Karimi appreciated the stakeholders and party members for the confidence reposed in him, assuring them of his continued loyalty to the APC and dedication to the development of Kogi West.

He urged members to remain peaceful, united and focused on ensuring the success of the party during the primary election and beyond.
