The Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Youth Empowerment, Hon. Godfrey Adekoye, popularly known as Critical Stakeholder, has empowered ten youths in Lokoja Local Government Area with the sum of N200,000 each as part of the continuation of his youth empowerment programme.
The empowerment exercise, held in Lokoja on Wednesday, is aimed at supporting young people to establish or expand their businesses and become self-reliant.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Adekoye commended Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his commitment to youth development and economic empowerment, noting that his intervention was inspired by the governor’s people-oriented policies.
According to him, the latest empowerment is a continuation of a series of interventions designed to improve the lives of youths and women across Lokoja and the state at large.
“I am only following the footsteps of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, whose administration has consistently demonstrated commitment to the welfare and empowerment of young people. We must continue to support leaders who have the interest of the people at heart,” he said.

Adekoye also urged youths in the state to remain supportive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, emphasizing the need for continued support for their developmental programmes.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Muhammad Danjuma thanked the governor’s aide for the gesture and assured that the funds would be used judiciously to improve their businesses and livelihoods.
The latest intervention is coming just a few months after Adekoye empowered women and youths in Lokoja under a similar programme, further underscoring his commitment to grassroots development and economic empowerment.
Beneficiaries and stakeholders at the event commended the SSA for sustaining the initiative and described the programme as a practical contribution to reducing unemployment and poverty among young people in the area.
