Chief Richard Asaje, an elder statesman from Kogi West Senatorial District has again extol’s Ex-Governor Yahaya Bello’s legacy, noting that he is a man of vision and action.
In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by Chief Asaje, he praised Alhaji Yahaya Bello as a remarkable leader and who uplifted countless individuals and guided the state towards prosperous growth during his eight years tenure as Governor.
According to him, FGYB is a man of vision and action, he did not only see vision, but he acted.
“Alhaji Yahaya Bello’s influence has shaped the political landscape, promoting unity and progress of our dear state.
Speaking further, he stressed that his policies and initiatives in infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and human capital development have improved the lives of Kogi citizens.
“His leadership created a stable foundation for continued growth and progress,” he stressed.
Asaje further said that Alhaji Yahaya Bello has built a significant political legacy in Kogi State, nurturing many political figures across all levels.., elevating individuals , most especially the youths to position of prominence and enabling them to contribute to the state’s progress.
His governance model, built on transparency, accountability, and responsiveness, has set a high standard for future leaders, something no politician before him had done, he stated.
The type of politics he has been playing , he is always winning.. He was able to survive so many adversary and the first man to put kogi in the right track.. And that is why some of us love him.
When he lost the primary election to the late prince Abubakar Audu(of blessed memory),he never give up, assuring his loyalist that he would still become the governor of the state despite the loss..As fate would have it,he became the governor in 2016.
In year 2016,he appointed many of his allies who stood by him firmly into key positions in his administration..
However,there were lots of criticism, the complaints were centered around claims that those appointed were in experienced and that the administration aimed to exclude the old political class , the led to political tension between FGYB , the old politicians, and opposition parties.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello managed to overcome this opposition, thanks to God’s will that he served two terms.
During the Covid 19 pendemic, because he didn’t want to waste Federal government money, he decleared it open that there was no covid 19 virus in the state, There were lots of query’s, yet he defended his state and we all survived it.
Come back home,he was able to assemble the best healthcare, manage those that work with him for 8 years.
Nobody in the largest imagination would believe that Bello in funding Ododo ..that he will ever succeed.. Today Alhaji Usman Ododo is the best governor ever produce in kogi and he has not disappointed us.
The release of FGYB from kuje Correctional Centre was by divine intervention and a testament to the power of resilience, faith, and unwavering belief in justice.

Chief Asaje emphasized that the truth be told, whoever becomes the Governor after Ododo’s led government will have the input/influence of FGYB..,he opined.
He therefore urged the good people of kogi west , especially okun extraction to reason along with Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and pray along with him, and I know that he will not disappoint us .., he has already left an indelible mark on Kogi State.
In his remarks, Chief Asaje commended Governor Usman Ododo for his steadfast loyalty, and unwavering commitment to sustaining the legacy of his mentor.

Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a visionary leader and whatever he plans to achieve,he always achieve.. This is to tell us that all the cases ahead of him will come to nothing..I am sure that on the issue of power rotation to kogi west,,he will not denied Okun extraction.
