Crowd Cheers as Karimi Holds Town Hall Meeting With Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency Constituents, Urges Support for APC Candidates

A large crowd of constituents, political stakeholders and supporters gathered in Lokoja for a town hall meeting with Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, with calls for continued support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In his entourage were Col. Abayomi Dare (rtd.), Hon. Salaudeen Erukutu and other top APC chieftains from Kogi West.

In his opening remarks, the APC leader in the constituency, Hon. Sulaiman Baba-Ali, welcomed the large crowd and commended constituents for turning out in large numbers for the engagement.

Baba-Ali, who is also the Gabi-Sayadi of Lokoja, described Senator Karimi as “the best Allah has given,” praising his contributions to the development and welfare of constituents.

He urged the people to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Karimi and all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, saying collective support for the party would ensure continuity and strengthen development efforts.

In their separate goodwill messages, APC stakeholders at the meeting commended Senator Karimi for what they described as his impressive achievements within a short period in office.

The stakeholders reeled out some of Karimi’s interventions in education, infrastructure, youth empowerment and other areas, saying his performance had demonstrated the importance of effective representation.

They assured Karimi of their support and pledged to vote for him and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The stakeholders also called on electorates across the constituency to remain united and vote massively for the APC, stressing that continuity was necessary to consolidate the gains recorded by the party.

They commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what they described as his interventions and contributions to the development of Kogi West, urging residents to continue supporting his administration.

Karimi, while addressing the gathering, reeled out his achievements and interventions in office, particularly in education, infrastructure, youth empowerment and other areas aimed at improving the welfare of constituents.

The Senator highlighted his education support initiatives, including bursary and scholarship interventions designed to assist students and reduce the financial burden on families.

He also listed infrastructure projects and other interventions facilitated through his office, stressing that the initiatives were aimed at addressing developmental needs across Kogi West.

Karimi further spoke on his youth empowerment programmes and other efforts designed to create opportunities, support livelihoods and improve the standard of living of constituents.

He urged the people to sustain their support for President Tinubu and vote for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections, stressing that continuity was necessary to consolidate ongoing development efforts.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of awards to Senator Karimi by various student organisations in recognition of his contributions to education and his support for students across the senatorial district.

The awards, presented amid cheers from the gathering, further underscored the recognition of the Senator’s education-focused interventions and other initiatives targeted at young people.

The gathering responded with cheers and expressions of support as Karimi appealed to constituents to remain committed to the APC and its continuity agenda.

The town hall meeting ended with renewed commitment from stakeholders and constituents to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and support the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
