The Kogi Concerned Citizens Forum (KCCF) has taunted former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, over his non-inclusion on the list of Kogi representatives on the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
The forum asked rhetorically, “Where is the Supreme Leader?”, taking a swipe at claims by some of Bello’s supporters that the former governor remains the undisputed political leader of the APC in Kogi State.
The KCCF said Bello’s absence was particularly striking because the list features prominent political figures from the three senatorial districts of the state.
For Kogi West, the list includes Hon. Abiodun Faleke, Yomi Awoniyi and Senator Smart Adeyemi, among others.
Kogi East is represented by Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, Prince Shaibu Abubakar Audu and Senator Attai Aidoko.
Representing Kogi Central are Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, Mamman Atika and Dr. Sanusi Ohiare.
“If Yahaya Bello is truly the supreme leader of APC in Kogi State, why is his name missing from the PCC list?” the group asked.
The forum described Bello’s non-inclusion as a development that raises questions about claims surrounding his alleged dominance of the APC structure in the state.
The KCCF urged political stakeholders to focus on the official party structures and preparations for the 2027 elections rather than what it described as exaggerated claims of political supremacy.
