Members of the Ebira community residing in Ijan-Ado, Ekiti State, on Friday rolled out the drums to welcome the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, in a colourful display of solidarity and affection.
The gathering attracted Ebira sons and daughters from within and around the community, who turned out in large numbers to receive the lawmaker amid cheers, songs, and cultural displays.
Community leaders described the senator as a source of pride to the Ebira nation, commending her contributions to the development of her constituency and her commitment to the welfare of her people.
They noted that her presence in the community further strengthened the bond among Ebira people living in different parts of the country.
Speaking during the reception, members of the community expressed appreciation for Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s representation at the National Assembly and her advocacy on issues affecting her constituents and Nigerians at large.
The event was marked by traditional performances, goodwill messages, and expressions of support for the senator, with many attendees describing her as a leader who continues to inspire women and young people across the country.
The warm reception underscored the strong connection between Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and Ebira communities in the diaspora, as supporters reaffirmed their admiration and support for her leadership.
The visit ended with a renewed call for unity among Ebira people and sustained participation in efforts aimed at promoting the welfare and progress of their communities.
