Family Holds Fidau Prayer for Late Ahmadu Zakariyau Dangana as Maigari Prays for His Children

The family of late Alhaji Ahmadu Zakariyau Dangana, the Shugaban Afemai of Lokoja, has held a Fidau prayer in his honour at his residence in Lokongoma, Lokoja.

Late Dangana, who passed away at the age of 85, was remembered for his outstanding contributions to community development, peace, and unity.

Before the prayer session, Ustaz Ibrahim Inusa Abdallah delivered a sermon, reminding Muslims of the inevitability of death and the importance of living a life dedicated to Allah and service to humanity.

The Fidau prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban, who offered prayers for Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and eternal rest for the deceased.

Representing the Maigari of Lokoja, Dr. Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi, the Hakimi of Ward B, Alhaji Ahmadu Sarkin-Zango, conveyed the monarch’s condolences to the family and prayed for the children of the deceased, asking Allah to grant them wisdom, guidance, and the strength to uphold their father’s legacy.

The Maigari described late Alhaji Dangana as a respected community leader whose contributions to peace, unity, and development would continue to inspire future generations.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Engr. Muhammad Amin Dangana thanked all those who attended the Fidau prayer and supported the family during their period of mourning.

The event attracted traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders, friends, associates, and well-wishers, with special prayers offered for the family, the Lokoja community, and the continued peace and progress of Kogi State.
