BREAKING: FCT Police Bust 13-Man Armed Robbery Gang, Recover Arms, Cash, Vehicles

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has dismantled a 13-man gang of suspected armed robbers operating within Abuja and its environs, recovering firearms, foreign currency, mobile phones, vehicles and other incriminating exhibits.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Jossy Adeh, the Command said the suspects had been on its watchlist for a series of robbery incidents before their eventual arrest during coordinated intelligence-led operations.

Items recovered from the suspects include assorted firearms, ammunition, cash in dollars, multiple mobile devices, and vehicles believed to have been used in carrying out criminal activities.

The Command noted that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the gang’s operations and to apprehend any fleeing accomplices.

Residents were urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by providing timely and credible information.

The Nigeria Police Force also reiterated its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the Federal Capital Territory.
