A young Nigerian, Nasiru Isiaku, has called on the public for financial assistance to enable him undergo a life-saving surgery at Shifa Hospital in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Nasiru, who disclosed his condition in a video appeal, said he requires the sum of ₦1.5 million for the urgent medical procedure.
He, however, noted that through the support of kind-hearted individuals, he has been able to raise ₦310,000 so far, leaving a significant balance unmet.
According to him, the situation has taken a heavy toll on his family, as he is the sole breadwinner.
His inability to work due to his deteriorating health has made it difficult for his family, including his children, to meet basic needs such as feeding.
He explained that doctors have advised that the surgery be carried out as soon as possible to prevent further complications, stressing that any delay could worsen his condition and reduce his chances of recovery.
Family members and close associates described Nasiru as a hardworking and responsible man who has always provided for his household before his illness.
They expressed concern that the burden of his medical condition has left the family in emotional and financial distress.
Some community members who have followed his case also appealed to philanthropists, corporate organizations and government agencies to intervene, noting that timely support could save a life and restore hope to an entire family.
