An elder statesman from Kogi West Senatorial District, and a political leader in the North Central of Nigeria, HE Chief Richard Asaje has suggested that the immediate past governor of Kogi State should be the next APC party National Chairman.
Chief Asaje in a statement he personally signed, stated that Yahaya Bello was eminently qualified to lead the ruling party at this crucial time and will reconcile all the aggrieved members and groups in the party across North Central to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027 elections.
Speaking with leaders of North Central youths for “Tinubu’s second term in office at his palace in Obajana, Kogi state, he noted that the party urgently needed a youthful, courageous, and visionary leader from the North Central to ensure balance and fairness.
According to him, the position of the National Chairman of the APC was first zone to the North Central before Ganduje emerged as the party National Chairman from the North West. Now is the time to rebuild the APC into a truly national party.
If the next National Chairman comes from the North Central and Yahaya Bello is given the chance to lead our great APC, l believe that Bello can be a successful national chairman,” he said.
“Yahaya Bello was the immediate past governor of kogi State whose intentions for the party were as pure and white as the snow until he was faught.And blamed for making a non tribal the most powerful man in his government (CofS).
“Since Bello came into politics in kogi,he has been a man of vision that was able to harness the opportunity given divinely by God to move the state forward.
“He was the first man that could bring about the slogan”Not too young to rule”.All his political appointees for 8 years or the first 4 years were below 40 years.
“Bello made youths corner stone of his government. The content of the youth shall grow manifested in kogi.. Youths, women’s were given equal opportunity to participate in governance, he added.
“In the area of performance, he did excellently well and unite the 3 tribal sections in the state, making them united to become one single indivisible entity.
“Bello became so popular in okun axis by giving us a long awaited University in kabba.. That particular deed , giving us university has helped our children access to further their studies in the axis,knowingfully that our pride is education .
Continuing he said, Bello make sure that chieftaincy stools were every .. Every sections, or almost every village , their chiefs were recognized by the government.
There is no perfection in life.. lf Ganduje was alleged when he was governor and yet became the National Chairman of our great party who performed credibly well and Heaven did not fall , therefore Bello should be given the opportunity to show his capacity.
And I can assure anyone that Bello as the APC National Chairman, he will make Tinubu wins the election come 2027..Asaje said.
As a good man of President Tinubu, he still have enemies, does that make us not to see the good his doing? My answer is capital” NO”.
The youths are not potential leaders of tomorrow, they are leaders today.
Considering the angle of fixing Bello as the next National Chairman of our great party, Yahaya Bello will be an exemplary party leader in Africa..Bello will be there for Tinubu and the country will move forward to her promised land..Asaje opined..
Those who are saying that Bello is facing alleged misappropriation of public/state funds Bello’ hidden political persecutors.. From record,there was no governor of any that has not been alleged of misappropriation after their tenure of office.
We wish to let the president know that a vast majority of North Central youths are solidly with Bello to persuade him to lead the party as its next National Chairman.
We recognize the elected president of our country, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and pledge our full support for the success of his administration, for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Yahaya Bello working with Tinubu as the APC national chairman, the good and interest of Nigerians will be protected,.
He, however, warned that repeating the mistake of the past of not considering the feelings and sentiments of members of the party from the North Central,who felt marginalized and aggrieved would be too disastrous,he said.
We are ready to support Tinubu’s second term in office and Bello to become the National Chairman of our Great Party..,he concluded.
