As part of efforts to promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, the Senator Sunday Karimi Support Group has organized a free medical outreach in Lokoja, providing healthcare services and essential drugs to hundreds of residents.

The Senator Sunday Karimi Support Group on Sunday organized a free medical outreach in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election project.

The outreach, held at the Kabawa Jummat Mosque in Lokoja, Kogi State, attracted a large turnout of residents who benefited from free medical consultations, blood pressure checks, malaria testing, and the distribution of essential drugs.

Before the commencement of the program, members of the support group paid a courtesy visit to the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III, where they sought his royal blessings and endorsement for the humanitarian exercise.

The royal father commended the group for their foresight and community-driven effort, urging them to sustain initiatives that promote unity, development, and public health among the people.

The ceremony was chaired by Hon. Sulaiman Babadoko, who applauded the organizers for their dedication to improving the health and welfare of the people.

He described the initiative as a practical demonstration of leadership that prioritizes service to humanity and called for its continuation across the state.

Also in attendance were the Ward ‘E’ Women Leader, Hajiya Tatu Gimba, the Councilor representing the area, and APC leader, Alhaji Baba Yakamata, alongside community elders and party stalwarts who pledged their continued support for the group’s activities and for President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

Convener of the initiative, Jamaludeen Muhammad, said the outreach was part of the group’s efforts to enhance public health and demonstrate its alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He explained that the exercise mirrored the humanitarian and people-oriented leadership style of Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, who continues to champion community empowerment and grassroots development across the zone.

Muhammad disclosed that the same medical outreach would be extended to Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area next week, adding that the group remains resolute in reaching more communities across the senatorial district.

Beneficiaries of the outreach commended the support group and Senator Karimi for bringing healthcare services closer to the people, describing the initiative as timely, compassionate, and impactful.

They noted that access to basic medical care remains a challenge for many families and thanked the organizers for easing that burden, especially at a time when many Nigerians are grappling with economic and health difficulties.

Health officials who participated in the program lauded the group for prioritizing preventive healthcare, emphasizing that early diagnosis and regular health awareness can save lives and curb the spread of diseases within local communities.

The outreach also featured public health sensitization sessions, where experts educated participants on personal hygiene, nutrition, and the importance of regular medical checkups for overall wellness.

In his closing remarks, Muhammad reaffirmed the group’s readiness to partner with other organizations and well-meaning individuals to sustain similar initiatives, particularly in rural communities.

He emphasized that the group’s support for President Tinubu’s 2027 ambition goes beyond politics, saying, “True loyalty to a leader means touching lives and advancing the welfare of the people.”

Recall that a women’s support group under the same political movement recently paid school fees and distributed writing materials to primary school pupils as part of efforts to promote education and support vulnerable families in the district.

The event ended with prayers for President Tinubu, Senator Karimi, and for continued peace and progress in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
