‘TEAM KARIMI’ Pays Fees, Distributes Books, To Indigent Pupils In Lokoja

Team Karimi, a support group for the Senator representing Kogi West, Senator Sunday Karimi has distributed branded notebooks to indigent students selected from 10 public primary school schools in Lokoja on Monday at the second edition of its scholarship.

The group also paid the school fees of the same beneficiary-pupils for the 2023/2024 academic session who converged at Islamiya LGEA primary school, Lokoja.

While speaking during the presentation of the education materials to the pupils, the Coordinator of TEAM KARIMI, Umar Abdullahi Abbas, explained that all the beneficiaries were indigent but brilliant students selected from the 10 public primary schools to assist them achieve their visions in life.

He disclosed that the group decided to package the scholarship to help the poor students so that their big dreams of becoming great in life could come to reality irrespective of their backgrounds.

He charged the students to be of good behaviour and study hard to make their dreams come true, appealing to their parents to give them time to study and encourage them to see their education as a priority.

In his remark, one of the Head Teacher of the benefiting schools, Alhaji Abdulkareem Yusuf, appreciated the sponsor for giving a helping hand to the children, calling on other philanthropists to emulate the gesture.
