In a dramatic development that has stirred intense reactions across Kogi State and beyond, popular social media content creator Real Mama Kogi has been arrested by security operatives on the orders of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, following the release of a viral video described as inciting and capable of igniting political tension.

The controversial video, which trended widely across multiple social media platforms, featured Real Mama Kogi making strong and provocative statements, including describing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an “ingrate.”

In the same video, she alleged that President Tinubu was responsible for the ongoing EFCC case involving former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, claiming that the president is using federal instruments to persecute him.

The allegations quickly sparked outrage among supporters of the president and political observers, many of whom condemned the claims as dangerous, baseless, and inflammatory, accusing the content creator of attempting to incite public unrest and distort political narratives.

Governor Ododo, renowned for his peace-driven and stability-focused leadership approach, was said to have acted decisively, directing security agencies to arrest the content creator and conduct a full investigation to uncover the motive behind the video and identify individuals who may have sponsored or influenced the production.

According to credible insider sources, Real Mama Kogi is currently being interrogated by security agencies and has begun providing what authorities describe as valuable intelligence.

Early findings reportedly suggest that certain political actors within the ruling party may have supported the creation and release of the video in a bid to foment crisis and destabilize the current administration.

A security official who spoke anonymously disclosed that initial investigations are beginning to expose a network of individuals who may soon be summoned for questioning.

Public reactions have been sharply divided. While some citizens applaud the government’s swift action, insisting that the freedom of speech must not be abused to incite conflict or defame national leadership, others have called for transparency and due process, urging security agencies to avoid political victimization.

Civil society organizations, media analysts and opinion leaders have appealed for calm, advising the public to allow investigators to complete their work without undue interference.

Security agencies have assured the public that the process will be thorough, professional and free of bias, noting that anyone, regardless of status or affiliation, found guilty of orchestrating an incitement campaign will face appropriate legal consequences.

Further updates are expected as investigations continue.
