Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has congratulated Professor Gbenga Ibileye on his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Lokoja (FUL).
In a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday, Senator Karimi described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that Professor Ibileye’s sterling academic credentials, administrative experience and commitment to excellence make him a fitting choice to lead the institution at this critical time.
The lawmaker expressed confidence that the new Vice-Chancellor would bring purposeful leadership, innovation and stability to the university, while strengthening its academic standards, research capacity and learning environment.
Senator Karimi further urged the university community to rally round Professor Ibileye to enable him succeed in his new assignment, adding that collective support would be vital to advancing FUL’s mandate as a centre of academic excellence.
He wished the Vice-Chancellor a successful tenure and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that would promote the growth and development of tertiary education in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
