The remains of Abdulmalik Ndagi Kassim, the Lokoja Local Government Education Secretary, who died late Thursday, was on Friday, laid to rest amidst weeping, wailing and eulogies from family members, friends, colleagues and associates.
The Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban, performed the funeral prayer shortly after the Jummat prayer at Lokoja Central Mosque.
Kassim, age 52, died on Thursday night following a brief illness.
Until his death he was the Lokoja Local Government Education Secretary.
He was buried according to Islamic rite at Hangwan-Kura Muslim cemetery.
