Members of the “Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group”, Kogi State Chapter, has again condemned indecent words by political actors who are putting FGYB on public judgement/trial when the case is already in the court.
In a statement signed by Chief Asaje, he condemned critics from some quarters condemning FGYB visit to Senator Orji Kanu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that FGYB is on bail and can relate with anyone.
Continuing, he queries why morally offensive language with no regard for social decency, and personal civility has become the order of the day.
The public domain in Kogi/Nigeria arguably has been increasingly filled with speech expression that have become politically more acrimonious than ever before, “Why not leave FGYB alone?
To him, such an acrimony that is reflected in the discussions in the electronic media, by implication,has led to exasperation in the culture of serious and robust debate, politics of acrimony and bitterness should be eschewed,” Chief Asaje asserted.
He explained that politics devoid of bitterness and rancour will go a long way towards promoting peace and development of the state and Nigeria, noting that if politicians do not play the game according to the rules, it may consume the state.
He therefore admonished politicians to embrace the unity of purpose and should stop making unnecessary comments about FGYB, “allegations like this should not be selective,” he opined.
Chief Asaje urge desperate politicians playing politics of acrimony/bitterness, to allow for thorough investigation into FGYB issue and should let justice take its cause.
‘We all wish that a sinner should not go unpunished, if the court found him guilty..,so be it..

Chief Asaje encourage FGYB to remain bold, free, focused and to continue pushing forward despite what others believe or what current circumstances continue to throw up at him.., stating that “Every leader eventually faces difficult circumstances”,in these situations, courage is a must to overcome challenges.. Do not bothered about defamation from enemies in disguise, stressing that even late Obafemi Awolowo was being accused on Maroko Estate and on certain things he did then.. There are countless examples of courageous leaders,he added..
Leadership of the “Like Minds Alliance Pressure”, therefore implore every section of the state/country to be happy with FGYB , the brain-box behind the good administration of Governor Ododo that kogites are currently enjoying..FGYB is still our son and have helped to detribalised governance in kogi state..
Democracy is a game of compromise and not one of conquest..It is the meeting point of disparate opinions and not the crushing of opposing viewpoint or the scalping of opponents..
Democracy is about the promotion of the common good or concern for the welfare of everyone in the society, and not the ascendancy of greed and the unrestrained gathering of the spoils of war by a few individuals..
In his message of condolence, Chief Asaje consoled FGYB on the loss of his mother in law, praying Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, reward her good deeds, and grant her Al-Jannah Fridaus, he added..
