Some Kogi West political leaders under the umbrella of ‘Ododo Major Boys’ (OMB), have organised a special prayer session for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as part of activities lineup for the anniversary of his one year in Office.
The leaders who are strong Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) converged at the Lokoja Central Mosque, to offer prayers and call on Kogites to keep supporting the administration of Ododo.
The frontline Ulamas selected to offer 2 minutes special prayer each prayed for the continued success of the Governor, the APC leaders and the state.
The prayer thus reads:
Bismillahi- rahmani- arrahim!
Rabbi a’inni wa-la tu’in ‘alayya, wa-nsurni wa-la tansur ‘alayya, wa-mkur-li wa-la tamkur alayya, wa-hdini wa-yassir-il-huda ilayya, wa-nsurni ‘ala man bagha ‘alayya.
“O God, aid Governor Ododo and do not aid anyone against him, O God grant him victory and do not grant victory to anyone over him, protect him wherever he is and do not plan against him, guide him and facilitate guidance for him, grant him victory over those who transgress against him, O God give us peace in our land in our state and our country, help us to overcome the current security challenges Amin, Ya hayyu ya Qayyum.
In a speech shortly after the prayer, the OMB Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahman Hussaini, thanked the Ulamas for their prayers, saying that it was the prayers that made Ododo’o administration to succeed and achieved meaningful development in the past one year.
“As we are leaving here now, we are going to the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, to settle medical bills of some patients and to also visit some orphanage homes to distribute cash and food items,” the OMB chairman, hinted.
The special prayer session was attended by members of the Ododo Major Boys, some members of the House of Assembly, some Commissioners, some members of the House of Representatives, former state lawmakers, former federal lawmakers and Islamic clerics.
