The National Officers,”Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group”, held meeting with critical grassroots politicians on 1/2/2025 at Fantancy Hotels, Odo-Ere, in Yagba West, Kogi state.
The leader of the group, Chief Richard Asaje during the meeting, stressed that they have come up with excellent evaluation and of the opinion that by virtue of their position, role and purpose in the society, it is important to communicate directly to our people on the direction to follow.
He lauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for extending and expanding the frontier of social economic and infrastructure development to the grassroots, stating that his administration has rejuvenated the standard of living of the rural dwellers.
He therefore urged the good people of Yagba West and Kogites to continue to support and pray for His Excellency, Ahaji Ahmed Usman Ododo whose tenure so far fostered a profound bond between us, he said.
Speaking further, he encourage the general public , especially Yagba people, to understand that politics is a game where everyone puts his or her cards on the table.. lt is not played out of sentiment.., he exclaimed.
“At Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group”, we implore anyone eyeing the House of Representatives seat in yagba federal constituency not to hide behind one finger, hiding under the guise of rotation to want to win the hearts of the people.. Politics,they insists is not about sympathy but what a candidate can offer.
According to Chief Asaje, Hon Leke Abejide has demonstrated unwavering dedication to public services and shows that one can live with conviction and integrity, earning respect rather than hatred.
Today, Yagba/Okun people admire not only his achievements but also his character, shaped by humility, compassion and an untiring commitment to the greater good.
He praises Hon Leke Abejide’s political ideology as a highly respected leader with a proven track record of delivery on promises and upholding exceptional administrative ethics.
“We can draw valuable lessons from his leadership , highlighting the importance of vision, integrity and compassion in shaping yagba/okun future.
“Those who are eyeing House of Representatives seat in yagba federal constituency must recognize that election victories rely practically on the undiluted support of the mass of the people, the critical electorate..lt is obvious that the general masses are not against Hon Leke Abejide but known political class that lost in previous elections and those who could not siphoned money from him for personal reasons.. he submitted.
“Like Minds investigations revealed that the fears being entertained by his opponents/enemies are borned out of the growing acceptability of Hon Leke Abejide.. The feelers are that they cannot go into election with him as things stand and defeat him at the contest”, he opined.
Finally, he enjoined kogite to pray for FGYB saying that, FGYB is not a saint but his achievements is speaking for him.. Governor Usman Ododo is FGYB product and doing great, he concluded.
