A PDP Chieftain, and a former House of Representatives member, Hon Samuel Bamidele Aro has explained that his defection to APC is based on the inclusive governance style of Governor Usman Ododo had endeared him into the administration and the ruling party.
Hon Samuel Bamidele Aro defect to All Progressive Congress (APC) party yesterday 5/7/2025 at “ltedo Makutu open space” lsanlu,Yagba East LGA of Kogi State.
Speaking with newsmen, Hon Sam Aro expresses gratitude to APC leaders in the State who warmly received with open arms in lsanlu ,Yagba East LG headquarters.
He attributed his decision to join APC to the good leadership style and excellent performance of Governor Ododo, adding that the achievement of the governor in 2 years in office was monumental..
Continuing, he described his defection to the APC as a home coming, promising to contribute his quota to the advancement of humanity and towards the success of the party in future elections, particularly the 2027 election.
“I really feel what it means to be back home. APC under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is now running a government of national unity. APC is my home because my family are all in the party, so I am happy to join the train, he said.
Governor Usman Ododo, the immediate past governor of kogi state,Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the APC State party chairman, Alhaji Dollars officially received Hon Samuel Bamidele Aro to the ruling party.
The Governor enjoined all members of the party to remain united in order to continue to move the wheel of progress of Yagba land /the state forward.. while calling on existing APC members to welcome the “Big Catch”, and other decampees with open arms.
Now that Sam Aro is back, it means we are rest assured that another “Big Catch”,has been recorded in the party.. This is a huge boost for us, Governor Ododo stated.
Sam Aro emphasized that every reasonable politician must be firm in taking positive decisions concerning his or her political carve.
Any reasonable person or politician must know the right time to stay or quit and as far as I’m concerned the APC by every standard represents the best interest of Nigerian people,he submitted.
The defection witnessed large attendance of party members and leaders across the 3 council’s in Yagba Federal Constituency and beyond.
