The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, has commiserated with His Excellency the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo over the death his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo describing him as a patriot from whom a great man had descended.
In a condolence statement on Tuesday in Lokoja, the monarch described the death of Alhaji Ahmed as the end of another era.
“We received with sadness but with total submission to Allah’s predestination the passing of Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, father of His excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
My condolence and that of Lokoja local government traditional council go to the governor and the entire people of ebiraland” the statement said.
“I beseech Allah to illuminate his grave, forgive his imperfections, grant Alhaji Ahmed al-Jannah Firdaus, and give all the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss.”
