Maigari Of Lokoja Confers Traditional Titles On Haruna, Mundi

The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Maikarfi IV, has appointed two prominent sons of Lokoja, Alhaji Bala Muhammad Haruna and Alhaji Bama Mundi.

Haruna was conferred with the chieftaincy tittle of “SANTALI OF LOKOJA while the Chairman of Danko Development Forum (DDF), Mundi was conferred with the title of  “SADAUKI OF LOKOJA” respectively.

The monarch, who presented the appointment letter to them on Tuesday, stated that the honour was based on their track records of prudence, community service and philanthropy as well as proven characters.

While congratulating the new Santali and the Sadauki of Lokoja, the Maigari urged the to reciprocate the royal honour by upholding their known qualitative character and selfless contribution towards the development of the emirate and the state in general.

In an interview with journalists on Thursday, Muhammed Bala Haruna thanked Lokoja Emirate for the honour.

He said, “am running short of words in expressing my special thanks to His Royal Highness the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Maikarfi IV for the recognition and honour done to me and my family at large.

”I pledge to continue being supportive to our community members and would always partner with the Emirate in human capital development aspects “.

In a separate interview, Bama Mundi thanked the emirate for giving him the title and promise to continue to work toward the development of the emirate.

He said he would work to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Emirate as one of its ambassadors.

He also thanked the monarch for his foresight in rewarding his subjects that contributed to the development of the emirat.
