The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi has applauded the Dan Maja of Lokoja, Dr Rajab Naibi, for organising Maulid to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)

The mornach who is the Chairman of the event described the event as one of the things that only exceptional people who are willing to show their love and respect to the Prophet were interested in organizing such occasions.

”There is no person who challenges the day of Maulud because it is an event gathered to show love and to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad ( S.A.W).

”We must thank the Dan Maja of Lokoja who thought to organize Maulud in this community because these will contribute towards the progress and unity among the people surrounding the area.”

Responding to questions from our reporter, Dr Rajab Naibi said, ” I inherited the event from my parents right when I was in secondary school. Annually, my father and other members of our family organized Maulud, and I too started mine since sixteen years back, and Alhamdulillah continues organizing the occasion every year.”

”I would like to thank all the traditional rulers, Ulama Islamic singers (Sha’irai ) and community members who came from neighboring states. I sincerely appreciate their coming to embrace the gathering.

Dignitaries at the ceremony included; the Grand Khadi of Kogi State Sheria Court of Appeal, Justice Abdulkareem Aruwa, Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr Yahaya Danladi Faruq, member representing Lokoja 1State Constituency, Hon Shehu Tijjani Ebaiya, the Eje of Dekina, Dr Usman Obaje, the Agankyu of Kakanda, Alhaji Muhammad Sanni Gimba, the Ohegba of Mozum, Alhaji Khalid Bukar and Hakimis.

Sheikh Aminu Shaban, the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Imam Junaidu Abubakar Sadiq Bauchi, Khalifa Ibrahim Shaibu Kenchi Etsu and Isah Arif Yabagi are part of the clerics who attended the Maulud.
