Community leaders in Lokoja Ward D on Sunday held a crucial security meeting aimed at addressing rising cases of indiscipline and security concerns within the community.

The meeting, held at the Hangwan Kura open space, had in attendance the Hakimi of Ward D, Alhaji Isah Nasidi, the Lokoja Local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Maikudi Bature, and the Publisher of the Analyst Newspaper, Alhaji Musa Tanimu Nasidi, among other prominent stakeholders.

Speakers at the gathering extensively discussed the security challenges affecting the area and emphasized the need for unity, vigilance, and community collaboration to maintain peace and order.

The leaders warned school pupils against loitering around snooker and computer game centers during school hours, describing the trend as harmful to their education and moral upbringing.

They equally cautioned operators of such centers to desist from admitting underage students during learning periods.

In addition, the meeting strongly condemned political thuggery, drug abuse, and internet fraud, which they said are fast becoming major threats to youth development in Lokoja and beyond.

The leaders called on parents to closely monitor their children and wards, ensuring they remain focused on their studies and positive social activities.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment from community stakeholders to strengthen local security measures and sustain efforts toward building a safer and more disciplined Ward E in Lokoja.
