In remembering the late Lokoja LG Chairman, Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed, workers of the Council have organized a special 40th day Fidau prayer for the deceased who who passed on Friday, November 10, after a brief illness.
During the prayer, they were showers of encomiums on the late Muhammed by both senior and junior workers of the council.
The event, which held at Lokoja local government secretariat mosque on Wednesday, started with prayers by Islamic clerics, who took turns to pray for the deceased and the family he left behind.
On his part, the Director of Local Government Administration (DLG) Alhaji Aliyu Musa Omuwa described the deceased as a gentleman par excellence, who led a good life.
He also stated that the last 40 days had been a time of sober reflection for the deceased’s family, friends, and those whose lives he touched in one way or the other.
Omuwa thereafter urged those present to keep praying for the family.
Notable personalities at the event include; Engr Faruq Yahaya Danladi, the immediate past DLG of the Council, Senior and junior staff of the Council and a host of others.
