The Lokoja local government area Indeginous Publishers/Bloggers (LIPB), on Tuesday, visited the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi.
The LIPB’ visit to the foremost palace of the Maigari was to felicitate with him on his appointment as the new Maigari of Lokoja.
In his address, Chairman of the Media Group, Amuda Dan Sulaiman Fab, congratulated His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir on his coronation as the Maigari of Lokoja.
He stated that the presentation of staff of office to the Maigari of Lokoja by the immediate past Governor of Kogi State , Yahaya Bello to His Royal Highness was well applauded as it gave legitimacy and legal backing to the desired stool of Maigari, as Lokoja people unanimously choose Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir to be their Traditional Ruler following his sterling services to the community.
Dan Sulaiman prayed Allah to grant the monarch long life, good health and wisdom to pilot the affairs of his subjects.
Responding, the Maigari, who was highly elated by the visit, thanked members of the LIPB leadership and their members for their contribution towards his coronation.
He said the media practitioners are pillars of peacebuilding in any society.
The royal father called on the LIPB to continue giving support to the current administration and the good people of the State.
In a related development, the traditional ruler promised to ensure that peace and harmony continue to exist in his Chiefdom.
He said his present position as Maigari of Lokoja, he is closer to the people and has better ideas for solving community crises, which will result in continuous peace and unity in Lokoja local government area.
