Lokoja Indigenous Newspaper Publishers Pay Lokoja LG Boss Courtesy Visit, Sues For Synergy, Robust Relationship

The Lokoja Indigenous Newspaper Publishers (LINP) has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Lokoja local government area, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu on Thursday.

The group, while briefing the local government boss called for a good cordial relationship between the LINP and the council

The Chairman of the LINP, Alhaji Amuda Dan Sulaiman Fab, in company of his members, while applauding the giant stride going on in the LGA, said it is pertinent to pay the visit because the council is one of the government key institutions to synergize with.

Mike Abu, who spoke on behalf of the group noted that the visit is an opportunity to get so many facts right about the council which many are quick to put in a bad light.

“I want to let you know that the Lokoja Indigenous Newspaper Publishers are desirous to have a good and better working relationship with the management of Lokoja LGA. We want to straighten the relationship we have had with the management.

Expressing gratitude to the group for the visit, the local government boss, Abdullahi Adamu said the last couple of weeks have witnessed massive improvement in the LGA security situation.

He said: “We will try to provide the security personnels in the area to ensure we secure the LGA.That has been the focus of what we have done in the last few weeks.”

Abdullahi, while assuring the group of the council’s support, partnership and collaboration enjoined the press to always fact-check stories especially from his office before disseminating, adding that they are open to advice and constructive criticism for perfection.

“I assure you that we will work, cooperate and partner with you because if we do what we are doing and our people do not know what we are doing, then there is no way.

“I can assure you we are here for you, for the public; to serve our people and execute the state government’s mandate,” he said.
