In preparation for the October 12, 2024 edition of Lokoja Boat Regatta, the Lokoja Forum of Patriots (LFP), on Tuesday has met with critical stakeholders to brief them on the Forum’s level of preparedness.
Addressing the stakeholders in a meeting held in Lokoja Local Government Council Hall on Tuesday, the LFP Vice Chairman, Hon. Isah Umar said the boat regatta has finally been slated to hold on Saturday, October 12.
He appealed to the stakeholders to work hard and ensure that all the necessary logistics were in place for the festival.
The LFP Vice Chairman assured the stakeholders of the LFP’s commitment to the promotion of culture and empowerment of the youth in all sectors of the economy.
He thanked the stakeholders for their usual cooperation.
The stakeholders, in their response, unanimously agreed to the concept, promising to work in synergy with the Forum to make the concept a success.
They also promised to rally their members to give unwavering support towards achieving the desirable outcome.
Stakeholders in attendance include; representatives of, Marine Police, Navy, Art and Culture, Culture and Tourism, Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Civil Defence, Nigeria Police and Vigilante Service.
The Lokoja Boat Regatta Festival is organised by the Lokoja Forum of Patriots LFP, celebrated annually between September and October in Lokoja to promote the cultural heritage of the confluence city and entertain the people.
