A Frontline Chairmanship aspirant in next weekend’s Kogi State National Youth Council of Nigeria Congress NYCN, Comrade Abdurahman Abdulmumuni has promised to evolve impressive programmes that would engage the state’s youths gainfully.

Abdulmumuni made the pledge while officially declaring his intention to run during a press conference in Lokoja on Monday.

He said: “As an aspiring chairman of the NYCN, my focus will be on empowering youths to make a meaningful impact on the state’s security, promote peaceful coexistence, and secure a brighter future for Kogi.

“My mission is to build a united, empowered, and productive youth constituency that contributes meaningfully to the development of Kogi State and Nigeria at large,” he stated.

Abdulmumuni acknowledged that he did not claim to have all the solutions to the challenges facing young people.

However, he expressed his commitment to bringing dedication, integrity, and experience to the role.

Outlining his plans, he highlighted initiatives such as encouraging vigilance and reporting of suspicious activities, fostering community engagement, building partnerships with security agencies, and implementing programmes that promoted peace and conflict resolution.

He called on the youths to support his candidacy and rally behind him for a resounding victory in the NYCN election scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 19, in the state.
