Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja Ward ‘E’ have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office, while declaring that it is now the rightful turn of Ward ‘E’ to produce the next member representing Lokoja 1 State Constituency in the State House of Assembly.
The endorsement took place during a well-attended press conference held on Sunday at KRC Hall in Sarkin-Noma, Lokoja, which drew a large crowd of party stalwarts, women mobilizers, youth leaders, and community representatives.
In his address, the Ward APC Stakeholders Chairman, Hon. Sulaiman Abubakar Baba Yakamata, said the decision to endorse Tinubu and Ododo was made after a thorough evaluation of their leadership performance.
He praised the duo for their focus on development, grassroots inclusion, and people-centered policies.
According to Yakamata, “Governor Ododo has continued to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, expanding infrastructure, improving security, and empowering the youth. Similarly, President Tinubu has shown courage and direction in tackling national challenges and implementing reforms that will benefit the country in the long run.”
He emphasized that Ward ‘E’ has remained one of the most consistent and loyal bases of the APC in Lokoja Local Government, contributing greatly to the party’s electoral victories.
“For justice, fairness, and equity, Ward ‘E’ deserves to produce the next Lokoja 1 State Constituency Assembly member. We have worked hard, delivered results, and it’s our turn to be given the opportunity to represent our people,” he said.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by Hon. Idris Lokoja, a former Lokoja Local Government Liaison Officer (LO), and seconded by Hon. Aisha Amale, Councilor representing Ward ‘E’.
Both speakers reaffirmed their unwavering support for Tinubu and Ododo, describing them as visionary leaders whose policies have transformed governance at both state and national levels.
In their separate remarks, Hon. Abubakar Danjuma Muhammad, Lokoja LGA Secretary, and Hajiya Marka Abass, a prominent APC chieftain, applauded the unity and discipline displayed by Ward ‘E’ stakeholders.
They noted that zoning the assembly seat to the ward would not only reward loyalty but also strengthen the APC’s base in Lokoja.
Also speaking, a critical stakeholder, Hon. Adams Sale Bala pledged to mobilize youth and women across the ward to ensure a landslide victory for the APC in future elections.
The press conference was attended by key APC figures including Hon. Abubakar Danjuma Muhammad, Lokoja LGA Secretary; Sulaiman Abubakar Baba Yakamata, Ward Stakeholders Chairman; Hon. Aisha Amale, Councilor Ward ‘E’; Hajiya Marka Abass, APC Chieftain; Umar Muhammad Thairu, Ward Chairman; Hon. Idris Lokoja, former Lokoja LGA LO; Garkuwan Matasa of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulkari Umar Nna and commercial leaders.
The stakeholders reaffirmed their total loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and vowed to continue supporting the party’s growth.
They expressed confidence that both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo will be re-elected, promising to sustain massive grassroots mobilization to keep APC as the dominant political force in Lokoja and Kogi State.
