Twenty students on Sunday graduated from Isah Kutepa Memorial Islamic School, Mudarasatul Isah Kutepa Attizkariyya Al-Islamiyya, during the school’s sixth graduation Walima in Lokoja.
Chairman of the school’s management committee, Imam Yahya Abubilat, said all the graduates were found worthy in character as well as learning and will be expected to move to Junior Islamic Secondary School.
He said the school, which was established in 2009 to inculcate the spirit of Islamic discipline through Islamic education and sound moral upbringing, has graduated over 2,200 persons, who are doing well in their endeavours.
Abubilat listed the school’s achievements among others to include winning the Qur’anic Competition/ Memorization Quiz organised by the National Commission for Museums and Monument, being affiliated with the College of Arabic Studies, Abuja.
He said the school can now serve as a centre for the Junior Islamic School Certificate Examination (JISS).
He advised parents to always take good care of their children, urging the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school.
The graduation ceremony was attended by parents and Islamic clerics.
Highlights of the events included recitation of the Qur’an and presentation of gifts to deserving students.
