The office of Hon. Idris Ndako has issued a strong rebuttal against a recent social media post circulating on the “Lokoja Amebo” Facebook page, which falsely claimed that Ndako is sponsoring Ismaila Sanni from Felele to contest for Lokoja II State House of Assembly against the current Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Assignment.

In a statement released by Hon. Ndako’s media team, the allegations were described as “fabricated, malicious, and baseless,” with clear intentions to tarnish the reputation of the workaholic leader and create discord between him and the Speaker.

The statement emphasized that Hon. Ndako, a respected political figure and former House of Assembly member from Felele in Oworo Ward (2015–2023), would never support a contender against his political ally, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Assignment.

“Our principal is a political household name in Lokoja Local Government and across Kogi State, known for his experience and commitment to party arrangements. The claim that he is backing a candidate to contest against his friend is entirely false,” the statement read.

Regarding Ismaila Sanni, the media team said:
“His reported aspirations are unknown to our leader, the Oworo Ward, and should not concern the party. It appears he is seeking political recognition, not under the influence of Hon. Ndako.”

The statement concluded with a call for responsible political discourse: “Enough is enough. Let us promote constructive engagement, unity, and not destructive criticism.”

The media office urged the social media poster to desist from publishing unfounded claims against Hon. Ndako in the future.
