A community leader in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, Alhaji Danladi Usman, has declared his support for Senator Sunday Karimi’s second term ambition, describing him as a lawmaker who has delivered visible results in his first tenure.
Usman, who spoke with journalists in Lokoja on Thursday, said Karimi’s impact on the lives of ordinary people across the senatorial district was evident through empowerment, security, education, and infrastructure projects.
According to him, the senator’s ₦100 million support for women cooperative groups has boosted small businesses, while the establishment of a military base in Egbe has improved security in border areas.
He also noted Karimi’s provision of over 70 solar-powered boreholes and rehabilitation of water schemes, alongside scholarship schemes and the construction of Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for students.
“These are not just promises; they are projects people can see and feel,” Usman said.
“If we truly want sustainable development in Kogi West, then we must give Senator Karimi another term to consolidate and complete what he has started.”
He urged voters to judge candidates by their track record rather than campaign rhetoric, stressing that continuity was essential for progress.
“Karimi has shown capacity and sincerity. Let us not be swayed by empty promises. Let us support someone who has already delivered,” he added.
Usman pledged to mobilize grassroots support to ensure Karimi’s return to the Senate, noting that the people of Kogi West stood to benefit more from his continuity in office.
