The of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf and the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi on Saturday attended the wedding fatihah of the Shetima of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammed Mabo Kasim’s daughter Rahamat Muhammed Kasim who got married to Abduljabbar Abdulazeez Adaiza.
The wedding was contracted by the Chief Imam of Lokoja Central Mosque, Sheikh Aminu Shaban after the pronouncement of One Hundred and fifty thousand naira dowry.
Prayers were thereafter offered for the newly wedded couples.
The event was held at the Lokoja Central Mosque and graced by dignitaries including traditional rulers from within and outside the state.
The wedding Fatiha witnessed by thousands of well wishers, among whom was the Hakimis of Lokoja, traditional title holders, Commissioners, State Assembly members and Captain of industry among others.
Meanwhile, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has congratulated the Shetima of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammed Mabo Kasim on the successful wedding of his Daughter Rahamat.
Speaking through the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir-Gegu, the Governor said it is the wished of every parent to see their Children grow into adult hood and have their own home with a view of rising their own family.
While congratulating the newly wedded couples he employed them to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, patience and love while their marriage last.
Bashir-Gegu was accompanied by Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya Muhammed Danladi Faruq and some Special Advisers.
Meanwhile, shortly after the wedding fatihah, the bride’s father hosted his friends to a grand reception held at Lokoja Club Event Center.
