Hon. James Faleke on Wednesday received the Honourable Minister for Steel Development, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, in his office, in a meeting that also had in attendance the Board Chairmen of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority and the Owena River Basin Development Authority, alongside some of their Executive Directors.

The high-level visit underscored ongoing consultations among key stakeholders in the steel and water resources sectors, with discussions believed to centre on development initiatives, inter-agency collaboration, and strategic projects aimed at boosting economic growth.

Sources familiar with the meeting said the engagement provided an opportunity for the minister and the river basin authorities to brief Hon. Faleke on current programmes and explore areas of legislative support to enhance infrastructure development and resource management.

The presence of executive directors from both river basin authorities further highlighted the importance attached to coordination between federal agencies and the National Assembly in driving sustainable development.

The meeting reflects renewed efforts to strengthen partnerships that will advance industrialisation, water resource management, and overall socio-economic progress, particularly in Kogi State and across the country.
