Comrade Adams Babangida Jimoh, Consultant of the Kogi International Market, Lokoja, has been conferred with an Award of Excellence by the Concerned Lokoja Indigenous People for his outstanding contributions to market reforms and economic development.
The award ceremony, held at Lokoja Town Hall opposite Crowther Memorial College, on Tuesday, attracted dignitaries, traditional rulers, political figures, market executives, and youth organizations.
The event featured cultural performances, goodwill messages, and the formal presentation of the award.
Alhaji Hassan Inuwa, Manager, served as Chairman of the occasion, overseeing proceedings and congratulating Jimoh on his impactful leadership.
Among those in attendance were Patricia Balogun, Vice Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon. Idi Ibrahim, the Sarkin Power of Lokoja, all present to honour the award recipient.
Dignitaries praised Jimoh as an exemplary administrator, commending his role in promoting transparency, orderliness, and peaceful coexistence among traders.
They highlighted that his leadership has boosted commercial activities and increased the state’s internally generated revenue.
Presenting the award, the Chairman of the Concerned Lokoja Indigenous People, Isiaku Sulaiman (Feki), said the recognition was well deserved.
He commended the award recipient for his effective management of the Kogi International Market, describing his performance as outstanding and transformative.
In his remarks, Jimoh expressed deep appreciation, describing the award as a motivation to continue delivering value.
He attributed the successes achieved to the support of stakeholders and the cooperation of the Lokoja community.
Jimoh dedicated the award to traders at the Kogi International Market, urging them to sustain support for reforms that promote peace, accountability, and improved business standards.
He also encouraged youths to embrace hard work, integrity, and community development.
The event concluded with photographs, networking, and congratulatory remarks, with attendees describing the honour as well deserved.
