Chief Richard Asaje on Wednesday 29/1/2025 has visited FGYB at his Abuja residence immediately after the court session on solidarity, and to encourage him to continue to work for the common interest of our dear state.
Speaking during the visit, Chief Asaje expressed deep concern for FGYB over the alleged mismanagement of state funds against him, and assure him that he has no doubts in his mind that the court will critical study the alleged money laundering case against him, stressing that the court is the hope of the common man.
He assure FGYB that the judges will do critical study of the alleged mismanagement of public funds against him as he enjoined the court to shun pressures from some quarters driven by personal and political motives, noting that corruption cases should not be selective, Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians.
He further urged all aligned forces against FGYB to embrace politics without bitterness, and should leave the president of the court to decide on any matter before the court in the interest of justices.
“Kogi belongs to all of us, let us focus on what will unite us and work for the common interest of our dear State.
“We are not saying that political leaders should not be called to accountability but it should devoid of political sentiments..To me,FGYB is currently facing adversities from competitors and destructors.
“We are so excited at the court premises when we heard that the Court has adjourned hearing in the alleged mismanagement of state funds against the immediate former governor of kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for critical study of the case.
“Kudos to Justice Maryann Anneih who adjourned the case for continuation of hearing and for critical study, recall that FGYB pleaded not guilty to the charges when they read to him”, he stressed.
The court has adjourned the case to April 3 and April 24 ,2025 for continuation of hearing to ensure that justice is done on the case which are of utmost importance and are guaranteed as stipulated in our constitution.
He therefore urged politicians and other stakeholders in the democratic process to ensure the Judiciary remains free from external influences and interference..

It is very easy to blame politicians for societal ills and inequities. They are often seen as the source of all our woes,we often see them as heartless and greedy,-Yes ,in some instances,they appears as perceived and as guilty as accused, but how true are these claims and how do we make sense of them?
“We will continue to work closely with FGYB , am pretty sure that FGYB will still win , we are going to experience another divinely orchestrated and a sign that the Judiciary is poised to take its stand.,
