Ibadan residents were thrown into panic on Thursday after a commercial bus reportedly veered off Ariyo Bridge and plunged into a river below.
Eyewitnesses say the vehicle suddenly lost control, causing a shocking scene that drew a large crowd of onlookers.
Local residents and passersby rushed to the scene, working together to pull the bus from the water. Thankfully, no lives were lost in the incident.
Traffic around the bridge was temporarily disrupted as security personnel helped manage the crowd and ensure safety.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, while residents are calling for improved safety measures around the bridge to prevent future mishaps.
The swift response of the community has been widely praised, highlighting the solidarity of Ibadan residents in emergencies.
