Esteem members of the Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group, Kogi State chapter has again lauded the judiciary judgement on FGYB bail grant at FCT High Court in Martama, Abuja today 19/12/2024.

The trial judge, Justice Maryanni Anenih’s ruling on Thursday granted the bail application for Bello’s bail.

However, this development comes a week after Bello was also granted bail on a separate case involving alleged money laundering of N80b.

The court admitted the former governor to bail after striking out his earlier bail application on December 10, 2024.

Recall that on December 10, the court had rejected Bello’s bail, citing procedural irregularities in the filling of the application.

Today, Justice Anenih made the pronouncement after listening to the fresh bail application brought before the court following the court refusal to grant Bello bail at the last sitting.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to charges when read to him in the open court.

Chief Asaje again commended the judiciary for fair judgement, noting that it has proved that the judiciary is the voice of the common man.

Speaking further, Chief Asaje urge FGYB to have raw strength in the face of pain or grief, noting that courage help overcome adversity.

In a word of encouragement, Chief Asaje emphasized that facing adversity with courage and resilience involves a combination of mindset, strategies and support system, hence, the reason behind him.

Chief Asaje implored FGYB to brave up and should not care about what the opponents might be saying, as he’s not a warlord, stressing that adversity empowers us to confront problems, head on, even if having doubts, rather than fear and feeling victimized.

“Adversity is a barometer to check preparedness ,it is a testing for many different reasons, be strong and courageous in circumstances that seems impossible, wait on God and your freedom , victory at last is certain, chief Asaje added..

In their remarks, leaders of the “Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group”, are opined that what FGYB is passing through is not new under the sun, stating that Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to mention just a few have passed through same and today they are still alive and are strong leaders to be recon with.

He therefore urged FGYB not to be weiry/relent in his efforts to liberate Kogi state from political bigotry despite the current challenges, stating that FGYB should remain focused on what will give Kogi West/Oku extraction the chance to occupy Lugard House immediately after Governor Ododo’s government, a performing governor in our dear state. Okun people have long been marginalized, they stressed.

Court bail grant to FGYB today, is a clear evidence that the storm will soon be over,l appeal to all to continue to pray for FGYB to be able to direct Governor Ododo/cabinet members in a right way that he could not meet up with while in office. It is a prophetic word that some day, FGYB will be the “Olushola Saraki of Kogi politics.

Kogi belongs to all of us and it is imperative that the state must move forward..Thank you Governor Usman Ododo and congratulations to all ..

Signed:
Secretary, Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group
