The youths of various groups in the ancient city of Lokoja has organized a Snooker competition at Karaworo open space for Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Bukky as reciprocation for his philanthropic gestures on Sunday.
Declaring the ceremony open, Bukky described sport as a veritable tool of forging good relationship among Nations, States and individuals, saying that the sport creates unity in diversity.
He said that, “Sporting activities, especially football is a veritable tool of forging good relationship among Nations, States and individuals, the good thing about the sport is that, it doesn’t discriminate, it brings people together people of diverse religion, culture and other stratification, it is a very essential in creating unity in diversity”.
Bukky also lauded the youths for organizing the event and for making use of their youthful energy for progressive effort, saying that, “you’re a positive example to your fellow youths in the state and I commend you all.”
Saidu Sidi Ali Yasidi, the organizer of the competition said,“ The essence of organizing the event is to foster harmonious relationship among youths, and to recognize the philanthropic gestures of Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Bukky.
He said; “we hope this will be an annual event that will bring all youths in Lokoja together.
