An elder statesman from Yagba Federal Constituency, Chief Richard Asaje has expressed strong confidence that Hon Leke Abejide is virtually unbeatable in the 2027 election.
In an interview with political pundits at his palace in Obajana, Kogi state on Monday, Asaje said that Hon Leke Abejide remains the most dominant figure in Yagba politics and his unbeatable records qualify him for 3rd term to represent the good people of Yagba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
Chief Asaje on Monday said this at his palace in Obajana during an interactive session with political pundits.
According to him, the primary reason for Leke’s recognition is his uncomplicated approach to governance, centred around his tenacity, capacity, excellence and selfless service. He prioritize Education, infrastructural development, agriculture, healthcare, widows empowerment, security, empowerment of artisans and rural entrepreneurs. With these, Hon Leke has taken strong steps towards resolving the most critical needs of his people.
Speaking further, he stressed that Hon Leke Abejide , as the leader of ADC, made the party to become a relevant party in Kogi and Nigeria..
Hon Leke’s emphasis on education, healthcare, infrastructures, empowerments, has significantly improved the development trajectory of Yagba/Okun towards sustainability.
“By prioritizing education, he has enhanced access to quality learning, thereby empowering the youths and fostering a brighter future.

According to Asaje, his proven track record of transformation in Yagba, Hon Leke as House of Representatives member since 2019 has been nothing short of transformative, serving as a blueprint for what effective leadership can achieve in Nigeria.
He said unlike many politicians who excel in rhetoric but falter in execution, Leke embodies the “talk and do” ethos – promising actionable plans and delivering on them with precision.
“I have been reading some concoctions of nonsense ignorantly packaged by some weak hearted people who have resorted to calumny of distorted facts, all aimed at tarnishing the good image and person of Leke, who has been rendering selfless humanitarian services in the cause of fulfilling all his mandates.
“This he has displayed in several community development projects, both in cash and kind to the people of yagba, okun, kogi and the country at large.
