The newly appointed Garkuwa Matasan Lokoja, Alhaji Abdilkareem Umar Inah, has expressed appreciation to the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikafi over his appointment.
Expressing his appreciation at his office in Lokoja shortly after the announcement of the appointment, Umar, who is a philanthropist, said the appointment was a morale booster for him.
“I am highly delighted to be conferred with the traditional title of Garkuwa Matasan Lokoja by the Maigari of Lokoja Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi.
“I wish to use this medium to express my sincere appreciation to the Maigari for the confidence reposed in me.
The new Garkuwa Matasan Lokoja described the appointment as “a call to service by the Maigari to deliver on our mandate to meet the aspirations and expectations of Lokojans”.
He, therefore, promised to do everything humanly possible to safeguard the title and uphold the integrity of the Emirate.
“I have always identified myself with the dreams and aspirations of the Maigari and I will continue to work towards ensuring that he actualizes them.
“This recognition is a call to action for me, and I am ready and willing to give my all for the development of the Emirate,” Umar vowed.
