The National Coordinator, “Like Minds Alliance Pressure Group”, HE Chief Richard Asaje has felicitated with Muslims in the state and in the country at large as they join other faithful around the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el- Kabir festival.
Chief Asaje in a statement by his chief press secretary, urged the muslims to use the period of Eid celebration to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, humility, and respect for one another.
The occasion of the Eid-el-kabir should be used to reflect on how we have fared morally and spiritually during the last one year , so as to take corrective measures where necessary for us to be amongst the believers who will enjoy the mercies of Allah in the hereafter,” he said.
According to Chief Asaje, this is the period of sacrifice to Almighty Allah and the period of sacrifice to one another,a period of sacrifice to our families and a period of sacrifice to our neighbors.
“The religion of lslam propagates total submission to the will of Allah and peaceful coexistence amongst the muslim faithful and with adherents of other faiths”, he added.
“As we celebrate, let us remember the poor and the needy in line with God’s injunction to be our brother’s keep.
Chief Asaje further urged muslim faithful in the state and the entire good people in the state, to continue to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Usman Ododo/cabinet members,FGYB,Hon Leke Abejide,, Senator Sunday Steve Kareem, traditional stools and progress of the state.
It is also a time to pray for our dear country and kogi state to overcome current security and economic challenges, he added.
“There is no better time than now to call on the good people of kogi state to stand together for unity and peaceful coexistence”, he opined..
